How to take care ofair conditioning incar?

Driving in hot weather is a real hassle for most people. Unfortunately, in cars without air conditioning or when it is inoperative, the temperature is so high that driving comfort drops dramatically. Car air conditioning is a resource worth using. However, it is also a duty not to be forgotten – regular air conditioning cleaning together with air conditioning disinfection and servicing are essential to ensure fresh, healthy air inside your car.

How does car air conditioning work andwhat does it give us?

While it is hard to imagine a car today without air conditioning, not everyone is aware of how it actually works. It is worth knowing, if only to realise how important caring for this part of your car can be. Air conditioning gives us the temperature we need in the car – but that’s not all. It makes the transparency of the glass much better as it reduces the amount of troublesome steam.

The air conditioning system is quite simple, which of course means that the principle itself is not very complicated either. The air conditioning system is closed and consists of literally several parts, as well as rigid and flexible hoses. This system circulates refrigerant, which causes low temperature air to enter the car interior through its ventilation system.

In the first part of the air conditioner, a kind of pump, the refrigerant is compressed, causing its temperature and pressure to rise. It then enters the second part, the condenser, which has a cooling function. The next stage involves filtering and expanding the air, which goes into the aforementioned ventilation.

What is the danger of breathing in air fromair conditioning that has not been cleaned?

Many people do not realise how important it is to look after their air conditioning in a car. It is very important to realise how dangerous it is to use air that is polluted with fungus, dust and other unpleasant impurities. Incorrect use and improper or no care of the air conditioner can cause diseases such as:

  • allergies,
  • respiratory tract inflammation,
  • conjunctivitis,
  • chickenpox,
  • tularemia,
  • legionellosis.

These are, of course, only examples, but there are many more dangers to be found in this situation.

How can we keep our air conditioner ingood condition?

Above all, it is important to use it regularly and to clean it with air conditioning disinfection (including air conditioning fumigation as one of the elements of the disinfection process) and to replace filters and certain parts periodically. Air conditioning should be run at least once a week, and it’s also a good idea to use it to remove steam from the windows. Another issue is the inspection every twenty thousand kilometres or at least twice a year. By getting rid of bacteria, viruses, fungi, mycobacteria or bacterial spores, we increase the chances of keeping our air conditioning and our health in good shape. The dehumidifier must be replaced every few years.

Also, no air conditioner is fully airtight, so check to see if you need to top up the refrigerant. Only a depletion of more than 10% per year can be of concern.

If you are not able to do the service yourself, it is very important to use the services of proven, professional services that use cleaning and disinfecting preparations with a full spectrum of activity, i.e. killing viruses, bacteria, mycobacteria, fungi, moulds and bacterial spores, such as the

NANOCLEAN® AIR, because using good air conditioning is a question of your health. Never take risks in this regard.
